After 14 years on Phillip Fulmer's staff, and training some of the top athletes in the country, Johnny Long decided to say so long to college football. "I wanted to stay in Knoxville. I love Knoxville and the coaching carousel goes so fast with coaches, you know you're in one place for one years or two years. You're packing up your family. You're leaving. You're moving somewhere else. I wanted to make Knoxville my home and all of a sudden this dream started coming to life," Long said. This year he opened up the Johnny Long Training Academy. They offer camps and personal training to all ages and a variety of sports. Long says teaching the younger kids is a lot different from the college athletes he was used to training. "I've had a couple cry. I've had to put my arm around them and tell them everything's going to be ok. I'm had to tell some of them, 'No you're not going to be a quarterback, you're going to be an offensive lineman and shock a lot of dreams, but the response here has just been great."Lifter http://www.wbir.com/video/default.aspx?aid=94848#/Johnny+Long+continues+training+after+leaving+UT/108856034001

Weight Room Preseason Training Camp Starts Here. The off season is simple; it’s about pushing your body to do what it should do, not what it wants to. At JLTA we take your DEAD PERIOD training to another level. Weight Training, Speed, agility, position specific, 7 v 7 training and life skills from the coaches and athletes who have been there and done it. This is all included in our special Pre-Season Training Camp. I was involved with many off season training camps and I understand what it takes. Not only will you learn for one of the top coaches in the country, you will train like the top athletes in the country. Any “trainer” can throw a ladder or cones out and wait for the clock to count down. At JLTA we have No clocks and NO pass the time exercises. Bring a lunch and stay awhile. Call today or email us online. 865-202-4866 or jltrainingacademy.com 7v7
