Year around training is the backbone of any successful athlete. At the same time, it is hard work and seldom is that work ever recognized by anyone outside of the training facility. The Athlete of the Year is that special athlete that has paid the price and has set his or her goals for the year and made the commitment to meet that goal.
The Athlete of the Year is an athlete that has the knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm and shares it with others. They teach others about winning, how to have class, and how to overcome adversity. They put the team before themselves. They love the grind and the discipline it takes to become a CHAMPION, and they show commitment in exceptional ways to the team, both on and off the battle fields.
Hard work, Leadership, Discipline, and Commitment are the key ingredients in being JLTA’s ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
