Elite Volleyball Player Focused On Improvement
Eleni Georgiafandis of 2010 U.S. Girls’ Select A1 Program is training with us here a JL Academy. She is a sophomore at Bearden High School and also plays for the K2 Volleyball club. She is an example of what hard work and effort will produce. She makes one or two workouts each week as her schedule will allow and she makes the most of her time here. Clear focus on form and technique combined with an unrelenting effort and the ability to work through the tough sets allow her to reap rewards in strength, athleticism, quickness, and flexibility.
“We have Eleni on the same program as any other volleyball athlete training here at the Academy.” Said Robb Wilson, her group strength & conditioning coach. “It’s just like anything else in life…you get out of it only what you put into it. Even then, there are no real guarantees as to how far you can go, you just have to give it your best shot.”
So far, Eleni’s best shot seems to be working well for her. She is already on the recruiting radar of the top collegiate volleyball programs in the country. When you have the talent to play at the top level; character, grades, and work ethic become very important for your continued success. There is a price to pay for athletic achievement and recognition and we think Eleni has the right approach. We never see her too high or too low and nothing less than 100% is an option.
