ESP – Enhanced Sport Performance Series (7-10 yrs old)

The ESP Series specifically addresses the needs of younger athletes. This series safely provides an introduction for young eager athletes who are looking to experience top level training at the younger age. Performance enhancement can be learned and mastered like any other skill; therefore, we believe in starting early to give the athlete the best shot possible. Our main goal is the joy of athletic achievement for our athletes. We teach the correct mechanics, of sprinting, basic agility quickness, bounding, pushing, pulling, starting, stopping, changing direction and core strength. We also want to establish the mental aspect of training and competing. ESP builds the confidence of each athlete to help give them the competitive advantage needed to succeed. JLTA pays particular attention to maintaining a fun exciting environment while developing skill performance levels and a winning attitude.

After addressing warm up and range of motion, the basic speed/agility component focuses on multi-directional drills utilizing speed, ladders, plyometrics and hurdles. The ESP Series will also introduce resistance training. We’ll start with our training bars incorporated with bodyweight exercises. The final component of each series includes fundamental skill development, utilizing innovative drills and competitive competition to improve sport-specific skills.
